There are various forms of cricket, a popular bat-and-ball game played on an outdoor field between two teams of eleven players. Central to the game is a rectangular 20-m long pitch which has a wicket comprising three wooden stumps and two bails at one end. The bowler bowls the ball to the batsman, aiming at the stumps or minimise the number of runs the bowler can run. The winning team is that one that scores the most runs from one end of the pitch to the other.
