Athletics

The sport of athletics is diverse, ranging from running and road walking to jumping and throwing. Generally, results of the various race events are decided either by a finishing position or time taken to finish the race. Throws and jumps are won by whichever athlete is able to achieve the furthest or highest measurement from a starting point. Athletics mostly involves individual competition except for relay races that are determined by team scores.
